There are 2 well respected organizations that have put forward structured procedures for mold remediation: the IICRC (Institute for Inspection/Carpet Cleaning & Restoration Certification) and the NY City DOHMH (Dept of Health & Mental Hygiene). The DOHMH has Guidelines on Assessment and Remediation of Fungi in indoor environments and the IICRC publishes the S520 standards for mold remediation. This course will teach you the similarities, differences, and overview of both guidelines. Most companies will use one of the 2 accepted standards and it is up to the remediation company which standard is used.
